Warren Home Inspections is delighted to announce a new partnership with One Tree Planted, an environmental charity with a focus on global reforestation. We’ve decided that even as a small business, we can make a big difference. We do thousands of Home Inspections each year throughout Massachusetts and will be planting a tree for each one of those inspections.
Trees help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide habitat to over 80% of the world’s terrestrial biodiversity. Forests provide jobs to over 1.6 billion people, absorb harmful carbon from the atmosphere, and are key ingredients in 25% of all medicines. In short, they are critical for an equitable and sustainable future.
In a recent article by The Guardian, new research estimates that a worldwide planting program could remove two-thirds of all the emissions that have been pumped into the atmosphere by human activities, a figure scientists describe as “mind-blowing”.
The potential for global forest cover is documented in an article by Science Magazine highlighting that the restoration of trees remains among the most effective strategies for climate change mitigation but also highlights the urgent need for action.
Rory Warren, owner of Warren Home Inspections said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with One Tree Planted and to integrate tree planting into our business model. We hope that our clients will appreciate that in return for their business we will be planting hundreds of acres of trees. Our goal is to plant well over 40,000 trees by 2030.”
